The Energizer Bunny

I did not realize how sluggish and yucky I have been feeling over the past couple of weeks, until this past week. I had so much energy and felt great! I'm at 11 weeks, so it only seems fitting that I would start feeling better right about now :)

I celebrated by puking my guts out last night. I was so proud to say that I hadn't thrown up and had it pretty easy, and then last night happened. Yuck!

Kent and I had our 2nd appointment this week and we met our doctor, Dr. Eddy. I'm not sure yet if we'll be going the hospital route, but if we do, I think I'm in pretty good hands. He reminds me of a long time family friend and I really, really appreciated his laid back personality.

Getting insurance has been a never ending nightmare over the past few months and we finally went the route of MedicAid. FOR THE RECORD: WE DO NOT TAKE HANDOUTS AND ARE TYPICALLY AGAINST GOVERNMENT WELFARE PROGRAMS. However, I couldn't get insured :( and there was NO way that we could afford to have a baby on our own. Thank you good ol' Uncle Sam (for the 1st and hopefully the last time). All in all, we found out we were accepted into the program- phew!

That night Kent and I watched "The Business of being Born." I HIGHLY reccommend it to all people having or planning to have a baby. I had first learned about mid-wives and other alternatives to hospitals when I was in college. I agreed with a lot of what they were saying then, and I'm agreeing even more now. So now that we have insurance, I don't think we're going to go that route...or at least we will have the hospital as "plan B."

This morning I went to my old roommate, Julie's, Bridal Shower. It was just lovely and I am very excited for her. It was fun sitting with her and Megan and giggling about old times. Boy have I mellowed out since living with those girls! Back in July I told Kent that 2 of my friends were going to get married this year...Jeanette, and Julie; both of who were not dating anyone at the time. They are BOTH getting married on the SAME day!

Well now I'm just rambling about nothingness, so I should let you go.

We're in for another busy week and are looking forward to seeing old friends and having some fun!

nice to hear you guys are doing well. we felt bad about getting the medicaid too at the time, but we also discussed how we couldn't do it without some help (as an $8000 bill was not in our budget, and that's uncomplicated birth). plus, we will be paying into medicaid for the rest of our lives, so in essense it was like a loan we'd pay back, and then some. love you guys, we think of you often,
chad

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better; it's so hard when you're tired and not feeling 100%, and you've still got so much to do.
Thanks so much for the cute paint set for Jordan's bday; I'm sure he's going to love playing with(and sharing) his new toys.
Hope all is well and we love you guys!
